Doberman III - Hard to Find, Easy to Use

The Doberman III is a knife that is extremely hard to find. The blade resembles the dog it is named after, sleek, athletic and dangerous. A Doberman means "stand back," and this blade is no different. After 2006, Extrema Ratio will no longer make this knife and we know of only 60 in North America today.

This knife will go up in value and today at $450.00 this knife is an incredible buy. The Doberman is 12 1/4 inches long and with the quarter inch N690 high performance cobalt stainless steel, this knife will dominate any competitor. The forprene handle feels like a gun grip and you will not drop this one in an important situation.

The sheath is constructed of a rigid ABS polymer and fit securely in place. You will not worry about your Doberman III falling out. With only 60 left in North America, you better get yours soon.

What makes this knife so special? It doesn't look any different than the Venom????

If you haven't seen the Doberman III and the Venom side by side they might look a little alike, but believe me they are totally differnt in blade style, size and purpose. The Doberman at more than 12" is a true tactical monster. It is very large and stout. The blade is made shaped somewhere between a spear point and tanto to give it a tactical feel that is unlike any knife out there.

The Venom is a great knife with a different purpose. It is smaller and shaped somewhere between a spear point and a bowie. Because it is built for outdoors and carrying around like an all purpose fixed blade, the venom is smaller and lighter, but it is steel made of the colbalt steel that holds its edge and shows you are serious knife collector.

I am sure the Doberman is a great knife, but I have heard alot about the new "War Dog" fixed blade but have been unable to find anyone that has one. Please tell me how we can purchase this knife, we need eleven of them as soon as possible. Please tell us who has them, when we can get them and if they are not yet available how do we reserve the first deliveries and what are/will the prices be. I really need help on this, so would you please respond to my request. We have seen one of these that was sold in France and have decided that it will be an required carry knife for our group.

You are right the "War Dog" is an exciting new folder from Extrema Ratio. In fact, starting January 2007, there will be a whole group of new knives available for the first time in the United States.

Starting November 2006, several of our "certified dealers" will start taking orders for these knives. In order for you to have more information on these knives, starting this week, I will write a blog about each one of the new knives. We will tell you in the blogs who the certified dealers are.

Certain knives, like the war dog, will be limited to their number, so it is a first come first serve. Believe me, these new knives will not last long, so if you are going to get one order right when we tell you or you will miss the boat.

I am going to try to answer both blogs in one paragraph. I do have the War Dogs spec sheet and I have a picture, but since this is one of the most anticipated knives for 2007, I am going to show the picture and spec sheet randomly. So you have to keep watching.

We do not have all of the knives on www.italianblade.com because there are knives that are available in Europe that will not be available in the US until January 2007. Starting tomorrow, there will be a blog on each new knife and how to pre order.

Keep watching!!!!

Howdy,

Can someone help me?

I am looking for a fighting knife;
really.

Not a fancy knife with bells and whistles, saw teeth, etc.

I feel it needs to have at least a
9 inch double edged blade,
but it also needs to be fast and light.

Most blades I have looked at are more utility knives; ie meant to perform many tasks, like prying open an ammo box, piercing steel, or cutting rope.

Again, I am looking for a pure fighter.
Imagine you are in a room and three insurgents show up uninvited, or your local hosts turn on you, and your firearm is 5 feet away; there is
not time to get to it, so you are left with your knife;
that is what I need a fighter for.

Can anyone tell me which of the Extrema Ratio knives, if any,
really fall into that category??

I have never held one in my hand
so I do not know how they feel.

If you don't mind, you can reply directly to

grayjiang@aol.com

Thanks
